Hannah and Will were married at Much Marcle church and celebrated in a marquee in a Herefordshire field — a Land Rover instead of a bridal car, a song from Will’s sister, and a detour on the way to see Hannah’s horse.

Much Marcle, Herefordshire
Hannah and Will were married at Much Marcle church and celebrated in a marquee in a field a few minutes away — a proper Herefordshire marquee wedding, which is a thing I get to photograph often and never tire of.

Getting Ready at Home
Hannah got ready at home in a dress from Coco and Kate, with hair by Shak Townsend and makeup by Nicola Harrison.

Arriving in the Land Rover
No bridal car. Hannah arrived at the church in her dad’s Land Rover, which I thought was far better than any vintage Bentley.

The Ceremony at Much Marcle Church
Will was waiting anxiously, and the nerves went the moment Hannah came down the aisle. Will’s sister sang during the ceremony, which was the moment the whole church went quiet.

Confetti
Out into a shower of confetti and a good deal of cheering.

A Detour to See the Horse
Before heading to the reception they made a detour to see Hannah’s horse, who seemed as pleased about the wedding as everybody else.

Drinks in the Sunshine
Canapés and drinks in the sun while the marquee was finished off, and twenty minutes borrowed for a walk round the field.

The Marquee
The marquee was by Mudway Workman and the flowers by Issy and Bella, and between them the room looked extraordinary. Food by Home Farm Kitchen, bar by Behind Bars.

Golden Hour
The light went long and gold across the field, so we stepped out for a few minutes while the band set up.

Into the Night
Indigo Heights got everybody on their feet and kept them there, and the marquee glowed in the middle of the field until very late.

Photographed across one summer’s day at Much Marcle, Herefordshire. More of my work is in the portfolio, and there are other Herefordshire weddings on the blog.
